The Bohan-Dillon Pinot Noir is an homage to the great village wines of France: a wine full of place and personality, made with the same care and attention as the top wines, yet at a good price. Our only non-estate wine, it brings together fruit from the Hirsch, Hellenthal and Heintz vineyards. All three of these family-owned vineyards produce wines of character and personality, and together they result in a wine of great integrity and complexity.
The Bohan-Dillon is produced using the same winemaking methods and with the same attention to detail as our other Pinots, thereby ensuring a wine of great quality, traditional varietal character, and sense of place.
The label depicts our cat, Bobes (Czech for Bob), who was bitten twice by a rattlesnake in 2006 and survived. In honor of this feat of survival, we put him on the label that year, and there he has remained ever since. Sadly, he has since passed on, but we love him still.
